Academic and Career Counseling
Your success in college depends largely on how well you plan. Advisors and counselors are available to help you choose classes, set goals, and make career choices. The "Discover" program and "Minnesota Career Information System" are available across the college for students who wish to do a computerized career search.
Each semester you will need to contact your counselor/advisor at Hibbing Community College to obtain your access code for registration.

Personal Counseling
HCC's professional counseling staff are available on a drop-in or appointment basis to discuss your personal concerns. They will also administer and interpret interest tests to help you choose academic and career goals. Referrals are also made to outside agencies for specific assistance.
Career Center
Catalogs from other colleges, transfer requirements and agreements, and career materials are located in the career center in the Student Services area. If you need material that is not available, you may ask any staff member for help. The computerized career program "Discover" and "Minnesota Career Information System" are also available.
