TEXTBOOK REFUND POLICY

Summer 2010

REFUNDS:  The last day for a full refund for Summer 2010 is June 11, 2010

The return period for Summer Session is the first 5 days of the term.  Texts for classes meeting less than 5 weeks are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled.  No refunds are given for reference books. course books purchased by people not enrolled in that class are considered reference books, along with study guides, lab manuals and workbooks. DO NOT open/unwrap book bundles until you are sure  you are taking the class.  ORIGINAL shrink-wrap must be in place for returns.

Full refunds are given if:

  • You must have your receipt.  This is REQUIRED.
  • Books must be returned within 5 days beginning the first day of the term.
  • Books must be in new condition. No marks, writing, highlighting, bent pages or corners, shrink-wrap must be in-tact.
  • Used books are not returnable beginning the first day of the semester.

Note:  You may be required to present your class schedule.

BUYBACK POLICY

Book Buyback is held twice a year:during finals at the end of fall and spring semesters. The next buyback dates are:

  • December 13-16, 2010; Fall
  • May 16-19, 2011; Spring

Prices are paid as follows:

  • If the text is needed by the bookstore for the upcoming semester, you will be paid 50% of the new price whether the book was purchased new or used, up to the limit needed for the next term.
  • If the text is not needed here for the next term, but is still a current edition, you will be paid the price set by the used book company.
  • Prices paid are always based on the bookstore’s need for resale.Students get the most money for their books at the beginning of buyback, when the bookstore knows which books the instructors have selected for the upcoming term & limits have not been met.

SELL YOUR BOOKS EARLY AS QUANTITIES OF BOOKS PURCHASED AT HALF PRICE MAY BE LIMITED. Study guides, lab manuals and workbooks usually are not returnable. The bookstore may refuse to purchase any book because of it’s condition. Books replaced by a new edition usually have no value.

Note: Publishers determine the prices of books, not the bookstore. Instructors select which books are required, not the bookstore.
