Library Services
We offer library services for online/distance education students. Some of the procedures differ as services are provided. To use HCC Library Resources you must obtain a "HCC Student ID." The barcode associated with this card serves as your library card.OTHER SERVICES:
Off-Air and Satellite Videotaping
The Library can access programs from cable and satellite sources. Make requests for videotaping according to the guidelines found in the handbook under LRC Policies & Procedures/Audio-Visual, and complete the Off-Air Taping Request Form.
Video and Audio Tape Copying
The Library will copy video or audio tapes for classroom use only provided copyright laws are not violated (see LRC Policies & Procedures). It should be noted that anyone requesting personal copies of audio or video tapes will be accessed the following charges:
- Audio cassette tape = $0.50/tape
- Video cassette tape = $5.00/tape hour (VHS only); $10.00/tape hour (OUTSIDE AGENCIES)
Complete the Request for Copying Video or Audio Tapes form.
Librarian reserves the right to refuse to make personal copies.
AUXILIARY SERVICES:
Additional services available in the HCC library include:
- Photocopying with a 15 cent per page cost
- Networked computers with laser printing available to students
- In-house use of tv/vcr's, slide projectors, and other audio-visual equipment
MULTI-MEDIA:
The HCC Librarian is responsible for meeting campus audio-visual and multi-media needs. The HCC Librarian provides this service. It includes assistance in the evaluation, acquisition, distribution, and scheduling of non-print materials and equipment in a continued effort to provide academic support to Hibbing Community College.
