Hibbing Community College Library
The Library is the college’s center for research and audio visual/media support services. The Library contains approximately 40,000 units of print and non-print material and subscriptions to over 300 periodicals, including local and national newspapers.
Library resources are accessible via Classic MnPALS or MnPALS Plus, an integrated library catalog, and MnLINK, a gateway system to library collections throughout
Subscription services to MnPALS and other databases, such as: Access Science, CINAHL, EBSCO Host, ELM Resources, GreenR, InfoTrac, Literature Online, Opposing Viewpoints, Poem Finder, ProQuest NewsStand, SIRS Knowledge Source, provide library users access to unlimited resources.
MnLINK also provides licensed and public domain reference databases to help locate articles found in serials, journals, magazines an newspapers through ELM.
Interlibrary Loan is accomplished through MnPALS, MnLINK and MINITEX. Through participation in MINITEX, access to and delivery of requested items, from MnPALS and MnLINK libraries and the
The library has a good environment for study, research and reference work. Additional resources are provided for upper-division and graduate level students enrolled in programs offered through the Arrowhead University Consortium (AUC).
The library has carrels and tables equipped for AV use, a conference room for group and video viewing, a photocopier, campus networked PC computers, color and b/w Laser printers and wireless computer capability.

The Library closes for official holidays and any other activity in which the entire student body is scheduled to attend.

Kim Johnson - OCLC/Library Technician 749-7740
Serves as the technician, coordinator, and liaison for OCLC cataloging database by processing all library acquisitions for the community college libraries within the Northeast Service Unit.
