Is it safe to study abroad?
The courses offered by HCC are all in countries that are deemed safe by the State Department. Any changes will be reflected in the itinerary of the program. In the event that a program is cancelled because of unsafe conditions, a full refund will be given to all participants.
What subject areas are available to study while I am abroad?

While our language programs are setup to improve the language skills of the participants, still other programs have a specific content area, or change form year-to-year depending on faculty in attendance. Stop by the office or call for more information.
How will the credits be applied on my HCC transcript?
Credits taken abroad can be applied to your major, minor, elective, or general education requirements. By filling out the Academic Advisor approval form prior to departure, you will set up how credits will be applied to your transcript once grades are reported.
Do I need to speak a foreign language to study abroad?
HCC offers both language based courses for credit or thru Continuing Education. You may receive an introduction to the language as part of your course.
