Your transcripts will be evaluated and you may receive credit for work you've successfully completed at another institution. Students pursuing an A.A.S. degree or diploma in a career program will have only grades of A, B, C, or P considered for transfer.
Students pursuing an A.A. or A.S. degree will have grades of A, B, C, D, or P considered for transfer. If your cumulative GPA at the originating institution is less than 2.0, no D grades will be accepted in transfer from that institution.
Lower division credits earned at an accredited college or university will be considered for acceptance as equivalent courses for liberal education requirements or as electives.
Military credits will be accepted based on the recommendations of the American Council of Education.
If you are planning to attend HCC and transfer to another college without earning your degree, you are encouraged to work closely with a counselor to plan your classes. Transfer guides are available in Student Services. These program sheets cover the most frequently transferred programs.
