New Student Testing / Registration

Summer Semester - This is for students beginning Summer ONLY. (Students beginning Fall - - dates below).

Wednesday, February 24th @ 10 a.m.

Wednesday, March 10th @ 10 a.m.

Thursday, March 25th @ 10 a.m.

Information needed to sign up: Name, HCC ID# (found on acceptance letter), major, and session dates (please note: reservations must include all of this information!)
All new students are required to take placement tests in Math and Reading. You may contact a MN State College closer to your home to complete testing if needed. Fax test scores to 218.263-2992 and bring a copy when you attend the STAR registration session.
Transfer students must have official transcripts sent to the college (bring an unofficial to your registration session). If your transcript is not received, you may be required to complete testing.
Students must submit immunization information and also have paid the $20 application fee prior to registration.

April 5 @ 1:00 p.m. Liberal Arts: 3:30 p.m. April 28, May 12 & 26

April 14 @ 3:30 p.m. Technical Programs: 3:30 p.m. April 29, May 6

April 21 @ 3:30 p.m. PSEO Students: 3:30 p.m. May 19

May 13 @ 3:30 p.m.

Make a reservation for one testing day & one registration day.

Students should check in 15 minutes early in Student Services.

Late students will have to reschedule!

NOTE: you must test BEFORE you register.

How do I know what registration session to choose? Liberal Arts – taking generals, transferring to a 4-year, pre-nursing, engineering, Associate of Fine Arts.

Technical programs: 1 or 2 year career programs such as: auto, diesel, medical lab tech, etc.
