Program Description
Hibbing Community College offers an Associate in Science Degree in nursing. The college is a member of the Itasca Nursing Education Consortium (INEC), which offers educational mobility for nurses in northeastern Minnesota. Laboratory experiences are provided in area community hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and other community-based health care agencies.
Employment Opportunities
Those students who successfully complete the nursing and general education graduation requirements of this program are eligible to apply for licensure and apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Graduates are prepared for entry level positions in hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies and clinics. Employment prospects for registered nurses is excellent.
