Engineering Department
Department/Program Description
The Engineering program is extremely flexible, depending on the particular needs and interests of the student. Please consult with our engineering and physics faculty, or call the counselor's office with your specific questions.
The engineering program at Hibbing Community College has provided a successful gateway to the engineering profession for many students. The success of our students is attributed to many factors, which include supporting the students with dedicated faculty, available facilities, and high-quality equipment, and technical resources. Our students are as prepared or better prepared than those students who begin their collegiate studies at a large university. By providing smaller-sized classes with faculty whose sole purpose is teaching, our students receive attention necessary to become acclimated to college life.
Transfer and Employment Opportunities
Hibbing Community College provides courses for the first two years of a four-year Baccalaureate degree in many fields of engineering. Students can take freshman and sophomore level classes in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, and liberal arts that will transfer to a four-year college.
